In this post I want to attempt to explain the Tao.
Tao means the "way" and in the timeless classic, the Tao Te Jing, Lao Tzu starts the book by saying:
"The Tao that can be explained by words or comprehended by thoughts is not the eternal Tao or true Tao"
So I will start this in the same way. The more we think we are grasping the Tao, the further away from it we are moving.
Yet I feel we can attempt to understand the basic concept of the Tao so to better understand what it is and how we can use it.
I personally believe that Lao Tzu was speaking from experience when he shared the first lines of the Tao Te Jing, because Lao Tzu's wisdom comes from a place of experience.
His words are deep and timeless. We see through his words that Lao Tzu had attained the Tao. Melded with the Tao. Aligned with the Tao.
Once one achieves this state how can they explain in words what they are experiencing? They can't. Yet they can attempt to through compassion. Compassion because of the chance that they may enlighten at least one person who reads the words in the book.
Thankfully Lao Tzu did attempt to convey the Tao, because it has served billions of people throughout history and will continue to forever. I believe that the Tao Te Jing is one of the wonders of the world and I am sure that it has enlightened many people and still does to this day.
I listen to the Tao Te Jing daily and still I receive deeper and deeper understandings into the teachings of Lao Tzu about the Tao.
Believe that the more Lao Tzu aligned with the Tao the more he became in harmony with the universal principles, yet the more he knew that he did not know. The deeper he moved into the Tao the more un-fathomable the Tao became.
Yet with the teachings from the great Masters and some of the great scientists we can get a basic human understanding of what the Tao is.
For a start, I love the name Tao. I love it because there is nothing to hold on to. There is nothing your mind can do with it. You can't create a mental picture of it. It is something that is everywhere at once, yet nowhere to be seen.
I love this Taoist story called "The fish in the Ocean"
Once upon a time, a young fish asked an old fish: "Everyone talks about this thing called the 'Ocean.' What exactly is it?"
The older and wiser fish answered: "The ocean is that which surrounds you on all sides."
The younger fish didn't understand: "What do you mean? There is nothing around me! If the ocean surrounds me on all sides, why can I not see it?"
"Of course you cannot," The old fish said patiently. "The Ocean is both inside and outside of you. When you move, it moves with you; when you stop, it stops as well. You were born in the ocean and you will die in it. It wraps itself around you, just as your own skin does."
"But how can I tell it exists, if I cannot see it?"
"You must use more than your eyes. We may not be able to see the ocean, but we can definitely feel it. Trust your feelings- They are the key."
Confucius once said "Fish forget they live in water; People forget they live in the Tao"
Sages have attempted to explain the Tao in the following ways:
Whatever the ultimate principle is that underlies reality, we call it the Tao.
Whatever the one truth is at the centre of all spiritual truths, That is the Tao.
Whatever the universal source of consciousness is, we will give it the name Tao.
Whatever the force is that is ultimately responsible for moving everything in the universe - from galaxies to human beings to subatomic particles - That force is what we call the Tao.
What powerful words! This story and this explanation is taken from a beautiful book called "The Tao of daily life" by Derek Lin.
When Master Sha teaches the Tao normal and reverse creation, He is teaching how all life is created. The cycle of all life, How it all begins and how it all returns to the source (Tao).
In this teaching we see that the Tao belongs to the Wu world, which means the nothingness world, and that Heaven and Earth belong to the You world, which means the existence world.
This is very interesting because this shows us that the Tao is the creator of Heaven! As Lao Tzu says in the Tao Te Jing:
"I don't know who gave birth to it, for it is older than God"
Heaven and Earth have both been created, because they are both in existence. When we look at the human body, it consist of material that comes from the Earth. We also have a spirit, which belongs to the soul world (Heaven).
Both have been created by an intelligence. This intelligence is the same intelligence that created everything throughout all of Heaven, mother Earth and countless planets, stars, galaxies and Universes.
This intelligence is the Tao.
The Tao creates the Yin Yang universe. Yin Yang seem separate only on the surface, yet when we go deep they are one. They are complimentary. They are interdependent. You literally can't have one without the other.
One of the highest spiritual achievements is to meld Yin and Yang as one. When this is achieved one melds with the Tao.
This is also a Buddhist teaching and philosophy. Master Sha says in the Tao 2 book that at the highest level of buddhist and Taoist teachings, they are the same, it is the same teaching.
When we stop seeing things as good or bad we achieve this. When we lose all attachments to labels and see nothing as good or bad, just events taking place, we can align with the Tao.
Now from a scientific point of view, we are now understanding that our past physics model is completely wrong. Through a number of failed tests a long time ago, we based our science on the grounds that everything in our reality is separate from one another. Totally individual, and everything anyone or anything does has no effect on anything else.
Now these failed tests have been retested with new technology in modern times. What the scientific community found was quite the opposite. They have found that everything is connected and a part of the whole. That everything does influence one another, and that everything effects everything at the same time, no matter where you are in the world.
I am currently listening to a profound audiobook by Gregg Braden called Divine Matrix where he explains a lot of what I am saying in great detail.
Gregg speaks of space in the same way that Nassim Harramein speaks about space.
We have always viewed the space between things as empty space. Whether it be the space between people, or the space between planets and so on. but what Gregg says is this:
"If the majority of the whole universe is space then what a waste of space that is. If all the matter in the universe takes up less than 10% of the entire universe, then why would over 90% be empty?
Also when we look at wifi, sound, light, radio waves and so on that travel through space, if it was truly empty, then it would have noting to pass through. Nothing to carry it."
Nassim Harramein explains that the space we have always perceived as space is actually infinitely dense. In fact, he calls it "The density of the vacuum"
So if it is the space itself that connects all things together, then what is the space? In my opinion, this space is the essence of the Tao and it is every where. It is also outside of this space. It is the Universal laws and principles. It is the emptiness in which everything is created.
Recently I had a deep insight into Master Sha's Tao song called Jin Dan Da Tao Xiu Lian, Which means The big way golden light ball purification practice.
In the song the words basically explain that Heaven, mother Earth, human beings and countless planets, stars, Galaxies and Universes matter, energy, soul, stillness and complete emptiness are all the matter, energy, soul, stillness and complete emptiness of the Tao, and that all things must return to the source. Yu Tao He Zhen - Meld with Tao.
This is the absolute truth. The matter of all things is the Matter of the Tao. Same with the energy, the soul, the stillness an the complete emptiness of all things, because the Tao is the container for which all things are created, held and experienced.
So how can we use it?
By first understanding what is possible we can then begin to have some idea of how we can use it.
In Master Sha's profound teaching of the Tao Normal and reverse creation, we see what Lao Tzu has been telling us for over 5000 years in the Tao Te Jing.
We see that human beings follow the Earth. For example we are governed by mother earth's laws such as gravity.
A human beings life is not as long as the life of mother earth. This is because Mother Earths Jing Chi Shen (Matter, energy and soul) is different than a human beings.
Then we see that mother Earth follows Heaven. Spiritual law determines what happens on mother earth. Spiritual law is Karma law. Therefore, heavens Jing, Chi Shen is different from mother earths.
Then Heaven follows the Tao. Tao follows only itself.
Tao's Jing, Chi Shen is different from Heavens.
The difference in the Jing, Chi, Shen is the purity of the Jing Chi Shen, which is Soul Mind and body.
Master Sha is the first Master to release the wisdom and practical techniques that can purify our soul, mind, and bodies to become the purity of Mother earth, then Heaven, then Tao. This will allow us to Meld with the Tao. This is the process of returning to the Tao.
This takes much effort and is not easy, yet Master Sha says it is possible!
The essence of Master Sha's teachings is:
"The purpose of life is to serve. To serve is to make others happier and healthier"
Think about the nature if nature? Natures natural condition is to serve. the sun offers its rays to all without judgment or without wanting praise.
The earth serves continuously no matter what humanity does to her.
The trees serve. The oceans serve and so on.
By serving selflessly we align with the Tao. The Tao is always there for all. It gives life to all yet does not possess. It is humble, many people are not aware of it. So when we align with these qualities we align with the Tao. When we align with the Tao we are purifying our Jing Chi Shen more and more. We are being forgiven for our mistakes therefore, clearing our negative Karma, therefore prolonging our lives, and helping the whole. When I say the whole I mean helping every single thing in creation.
Every single aspect of all life throughout our bodies and throughout all of Heaven, Mother Earth, and countless planets stars Galaxies and Universes.
Now everything we ever do is a part of the You world (creation world). Because if we are doing it, it has been created. I mean everything. Whether its a thought, a sound, a invocation, a body posture. Anything we ever do is a part of the You world.
This means that whatever we create and experience, everything in the whole of creation will experience at the same time.
This is very important wisdom, because this is the basis of Karma.
If whatever we create with our thoughts, actions, speech and so on, is felt throughout the whole of creation, then whatever we send out is either going to send out positive service and effects or negative ones.
Because we are a part of the whole, whatever we send out effects us. If we create loving thoughts, words, actions and activities, we will be serving all souls. Therefore, serving ourselves.
If we are creating harmful thought, words, actions and activities, we will be sending this out to all souls too. Therefore, we will experience challenges in our own lives, which will also effect those around us.
This is why it is so important that we purify every aspect of our lives. Our thoughts, our speech, our actions and so on.
This has deepened my understanding into Master Sha's four power techniques, and Master Sha's universal forgiveness meditations and the power of what we can achieve each and every time we meditate with these practices.
Here is a profound practice to help align with the Tao and can literally heal every aspect of life. The reason it can heal any aspect of life is because any illness or disharmony in ones life is due to not aligning with the Tao. Not aligning with the Universal harmony of the Tao. We may be feeling the effects now of when we have deeply gone against the nature of the Tao in past lives, which is Karma. Therefore, by practicing the meditation below we can align with the Tao and therefore heal and transform any aspect of life and be forgiven.

Sit up straight. Place both hands over the navel.
